A little bit of SPRING!!!!!

Last weekend The York Fairgrounds played host to the PA Garden show. The Fairgrounds is a pretty cool place. It is home to all sorts of events throughout the year, the largest being the York Fair, which claims to be the oldest fair in the good ole USA. You can check out more info on the York Fair facebook page, just in case you're interested.
Of course, the York Fair may have a special place in my heart since it is where my dear hubby and I had our very first date. September 13, 1996 he took me to the fair and to see an Alabama concert complete with Orange Julius, cotton candy, and a just right crisp breeze in the evening air.......okay, I'm getting off topic......back to the Garden show!
The Wizard of Oz theme!!

Ding Dong the witch is dead!!

OH WHOA!!!! Summer garden project found!!!

Now where can I find some bowling balls?!?!

Uh oh----now she wants Guinea pigs!

Thought this was a cool use for old pallets

Alice in Wonderland

Snow White theme......this was gorgeous!!

Autumn learned that new carrots will grow from old tops

Celery bottom + water=new celery........how cool!!!

She learned all about butterflies
Awesome art!!
In spite of the cold biting wind outside, seeing the hyacinths, daffodils, and heather sporting their sensational spring dresses put me in a cheerful mood. The day was a good one, I had never been to the garden show, and sometimes something new is just what you need for a case of the winter blahs!  Last thoughts on the garden show.......I WANNA GO DIG IN THE DIRT!!!!!!!!
