Local area and links

The local area is beautiful country. The area was first settled by German immigrants, you may know them as Pennsylvania Dutch. Our immediate area is home to many farms, rolling hills, and hardwood forest. There is a farmers market and flea market about 1 mile up the road from the farm. It makes for a nice Saturday morning. We are located in York county, about 2 miles to Interstate 83. It truly is a beautiful location, and while we have a small town USA feel, we are convienient to larger towns and cities. It is the best of both worlds. Some links you may find helpful are as follows:

My family and I use the farm as a private residence. We have horses, and just enjoy country life. Life is simple here. We listen to the many songbirds, tinker in the flower gardens, and enjoy the quiet. Possible uses could be as a bed and breakfast, or maybe even a restaurant. Central PA is fast becoming well know for wineries, and while it would take a few years to get going, that would be a great possibility. I would imagine being close to the interstate would be good for business. While we are close to the highway, it is important to note that we do not see or hear it at all, it is merely a convienience closeby. Whatever you would choose to do here I can tell you this, it is a special place that will become part of who you are.
